“virginia boy” or “all i have is all I am”, is a slow motion concept test developed to emulate the work of Jack Begert. Jack was involved in the process by giving slow motion troubleshooting ideas and different software suggestions.

“like all my inspiration it seems, the idea for this piece came from music. while listening to “shadow” by Amie Blu, my brain was filled with slow motion imagery and how to properly execute what i was daydreaming about. the guitar solo sealed the deal for me and i instantly ran down this obsessed path, trying to figure out how to do slow motion properly. my camera was new, and my options were scarce, but i had to share the art that was replaying itself in my mind every time i heard the song.”

I reached out to jack, who i am a huge fan of, for help with my slow motion confusion and got back an enthusiastic response that was refreshing and motivating. so grateful for that. this one means a lot to me, not only because of that, but because it hasn’t immediately aged and soured as soon as a shared it with the world.

and as a bonus..

“all i have is all i am” means that everything i have is all thanks to God. the Great “I Am.”
